Beta Portolan is a star which is in or near Federation space, primary of the Beta Portolan system. This star was located in the Alpha Quadrant. (TNG: "Conspiracy")

Neural parasites destroyed the civilizations inhabiting its planets long ago. In the late 23rd century, Federation archaeologists believed these civilizations were the parasites' first victims.
