The Beta Niobe system was a star system with only one planet which was inhabited. This system was located near Ariannus.

In 2269, the primary was about to go nova. The USS Enterprise was sent to this system and arrived about three and half hours before it went nova. (TOS: "All Our Yesterdays", TNG: "Conspiracy")
