The Beta Lyrae system is a star system with at least two planets orbiting the star Beta Lyrae. It is located 142° NE of the galactic plane. The star, Beta Lyrae, was known as one of the rare beautiful spectacles of the galaxy and almost every starship that passed by stop to see it. Beta Lyrae was located between Kzin and the Federation Starbase 25. (TAS: "The Slaver Weapon") The location of the Beta Lyrae system was also depicted on a Federation star chart. It was located near Pyris VII (TNG: "Conspiracy")
