Beta Lyrae was a star in the Alpha Quadrant of the Milky Way Galaxy. Beta Lyrae was known as one of the rare beautiful spectacles of the Milky Way Galaxy and almost every starship that passed by stop to see it. Beta Lyrae was located between Kzin and Starbase 25. In "The Explored Galaxy" star chart, Beta Lyrae was located between the Tholian Assembly and Romulus. According to DS9: "Call to Arms", both were located in the Alpha Quadrant.
