Beta Cygni was a planetary system somewhere in the region of sectors 21538 to 23079. Along with the Beta Mahoga system, Beta Cygni was the site of a USS Fearless planetary mapping survey in the 2360s, according to a Starship mission status report. (Star Trek: The Next Generation set decoration)
Beta Cygni's binary components are real stars, located in the constellation named Cygnus (the location of Deneb); this system has been called Albireo by astronomers on Earth. The assignment of the Fearless was not mentioned on screen, but rather was seen on a viewscreen chart on an observation lounge computer station.
