Beta Agni II was the second planet in the Beta Agni planetary system. This system was located within Sector 30. The atmosphere was capable of supporting humanoid lifeforms. Prior to 2366, a Federation colony was established on this planet. Since its establishment, the colony hadn't experienced significant geological activity
In 2366, the colony had a sudden tricyanate contamination of its water supply. The contamination was neutralized by the USS Enterprise-D, which had a supply of hytritium. The incident was later found out to be the work of Zibalian trader Kivas Fajo, as part of a scheme to capture the android Data. (TNG: "The Most Toys")
According to the Star Trek: Star Charts, on the chart "United Federation of Planets I", Beta Agni II was listed as a member planet of the Federation in 2378.
According to Startrek.com, Beta Agni II had oceans, lush areas, and a large desert.
