Beta Agni II was the inhabited second planet in the Beta Agni system. This system was located within Sector 30. This was the home of a Federation colony. Since its settlement, the colony had recorded no significant geological activity.

In 2366, the colony had a sudden tricyanate contamination of its water supply. The contamination was neutralized with hytritium supplied by a landing party from the USS Enterprise-D. The incident was later found out to be the work of Zibalian trader Kivas Fajo, as part of a scheme to capture the android Data. (TNG: "The Most Toys")

The planet model for Beta Agni II was first used for the Benev Selec ("Pen Pals"). It was used again for Starbase 515 planet ("Samaritan Snare"), and Rutia IV ("The High Ground").
According to Startrek.com, this was a M-class world with oceans, lush areas, and a large desert. [1]
According to the Star Trek: Star Charts, on the chart "United Federation of Planets I", Beta Agni II was listed as a member planet of the Federation in 2378.
