Beta Agni II was the inhabited second planet in the Beta Agni system. This system was located within Sector 30. Prior to 2366, a Federation colony was established on this planet. Since its establishment, the colony hadn't experienced significant geological activity
In 2366, the colony had a sudden tricyanate contamination of its water supply. The contamination was neutralized by the USS Enterprise-D, which had a supply of hytritium. The incident was later found out to be the work of Zibalian trader Kivas Fajo, as part of a scheme to capture the android Data. (TNG: "The Most Toys")
According to the Star Trek: Star Charts, on the chart "United Federation of Planets I", Beta Agni II was listed as a member planet of the Federation in 2378.
According to Startrek.com, Beta Agni II was a M-class world with oceans, lush areas, and a large desert.
