For the Earth city, please see Berkeley, California. For the similarly named 24th-century Starfleet lieutenant, please see Reginald Barclay.
In 2266, Lieutenant Berkeley was a crewmember aboard the USS Enterprise.
Early in that year, Berkeley was a sciences division officer. (TOS: "The Man Trap")
Later that year, Berkeley would later transfer to the operations division and became a transporter chief. He embarrassed himself in front of Captain Kirk when he was unable to beam cargo to the Tantalus Penal Colony -- and unable to explain the problem until Kirk reminded him his destination was a penal colony. At that point, he remembered the security force field in place around such facilities. Kirk advised Berkeley to refamiliarize himself with the manual on penal colony procedures. (TOS: "Dagger of the Mind")
Berkeley was portrayed by actor Larry Anthony.
