Beijing, or Peking, was a major city in eastern China. (TOS: "The Cage")
This city was identified on a political map of the North Pacific region. This map was accessed from the USS Enterprise library computer by the Talosians in 2254.
The starship USS Tian An Men was named after a square in this city.
Beijing, as the Chinese would prefer Westerners to call their city, was the capital of China.
