Bedford was a dog which Charles Tucker III had when he was young.
When Tucker had an accident in 2153, necessitating mimetic simbiot was made from his DNA, his clone, named Sim, possessed some of his memories and recalled Bedford, remarking that "he was so big, I could ride him like a horse". (ENT: "Similitude")
