The Batarael is a holiday celebrated on the planet Halii. During the Batarael, it is customary for one member of the family to sing the Horath.

In Aquiel Uhnari's family, she sang the Horath until she was assigned to Relay Station 47 in 2368. The next year, she sent a message to her sister Shianna, in which she regretted that this year was the first time she'd missed Batarael. (TNG: "Aquiel")
