Baryon radiation is a type of particulate radiation which could eliminate a contamination of Temecklian virus.
In 2372, Kasidy Yates offered to flood her cargo hold with baryon radiation to eliminate any contamination of Temecklian virus rather than wait through an inspection. (DS9: "For the Cause")
