Barson II was the second planet in the Barson planetary system. This was an inhabited planet that was in or near Federation space.

In 2370, a medical crisis occurred there, so the USS Enterprise-D transported viral medicines from Starbase 328 to Barson II. The crisis was so severe that the ship was allowed to exceed the warp 5 limit. (TNG: "Eye of the Beholder")
