Barradas III is the only M-class planet in the Barradas system, located in Sector 2158.
The planet hosted an outpost of the Debrune approximately two thousand years ago, but was deserted by 2370. The planet had been studied for centuries by this year and the Federation Archaeological Survey had cataloged numerous ruins on the surface. The same year, the planet was raided by the group of mercenaries led by Arctus Baran. (TNG: "Gambit, Part I")
- According to the Star Trek: The Next Generation Companion, the planet's name was a homage to "Beratis", an alias of the Redjac entity in TOS: "Wolf in the Fold".
