The Balduk were a group of warriors with fearsome reputations.
Shortly after Worf's son Alexander Rozhenko came to live with him on the USS Enterprise-D in 2368, he remarked in his personal log that he would, "rather fight ten Balduk warriors than face one small child." This was in response to Alexander stealing a small model of a Draco lizard from the biolab during a class field trip. (TNG: "New Ground")
The Balduk warriors might have hailed from Balduk.
The Star Trek Encyclopedia (4th ed., vol. 1, p. 64) identified the Balduk as a group of fierce warriors.
In the Stargazer novel Three, Balduk characters are described as a vulpine-looking. They also appear as bodyguards and mercenaries in Articles of the Federation and Warpath.
