The B-314, a type of airplane built for water landings, was photographed over the San Francisco Bay by Clyde Sunderland. A copy of this photo was displayed in Captain Jonathan Archer's quarters in the starship Enterprise NX-01. (ENT: "Broken Bow")
The B-314 was built by Boeing and nicknamed the Clipper by Pan American World Airways. The plane's type is not mentioned in the series, and is from the historical records.
