Avek was a commander in the Benthan Guard.
In 2374, he led two ships in an attempt to recover a coaxial warp ship, stolen by a genome thief while it had the appearance of Steth. However, he was driven off by Steth himself, who was trapped with the appearance of the thief's former victim, a female called Daelen. (VOY: "Vis à Vis")
