The autonomous regeneration sequencer is a Borg device designed to "counteract resistance". The sequencers prevent elements of Borg technology from being removed by automatically replacing lost linkages. They can be disabled if each sequence conduit is disconnected from the insertion juncture. The Borg assimilated the pattern duplication design from Species 259. (VOY: "The Gift")
- It is not exactly clear what the "linkages" replaced by the sequencers are for. It may have something to do with plasma relays.
