Audrid Dax (played by Armin Shimerman, sort of) was the fourth host of the Dax symbiont. She rose to become the head of the Trill Symbiosis Commission, and she was also a mother of at least two children, including Neema. Audrid noted that her election and the birth of her first child were the happiest days of her life. (DS9: "Facets")
