Atalia VII was the inhabited seventh planet of the Atalia system. This planet was the site of a diplomatic conference in 2369. The conference had been scheduled six months in advance and was to have been attended by the USS Enterprise-D. Its participation was delayed when the ship became involved with the late Richard Galen's quest to decipher an ancient message coded in the genetic material of several Alpha and Beta Quadrant species.
