The Argus Array was a Federation subspace telescope that was in service in the mid-24th century. The Array was located three light years from Cardassian space.

During one of its studies of subspace, the Argus Array suggested an upper bound on the Hufstader effect. (TNG: "Redemption II", display graphic remastered)

The Argus Array malfunctioned in 2367, following contact with a Cytherian probe, which disrupted the Array's computer systems. The problem was fixed by the USS Enterprise-D. (TNG: "The Nth Degree")

In different quantum realities, the Enterprise-D returned to visit the Argus Array again in 2370 to investigate why it was not transmitting data. In these parallel universes visited by Lieutenant Worf, the cause of the Array's shutdown was varied. In one, the Cardassians had reprogrammed the Array to spy on Federation outposts; in another, it had suffered a simple mechanical failure. In one universe, the Cardassians had destroyed the Array; in another, the Bajorans did so. (TNG: "Parallels")

The array is named after Argus Panoptes a giant in Greek mythology with one-hundred eyes.
For the remastered episode "Redemption II", the old graphics were replaced, and the Argus Array was mentioned in that new text.
According to the Star Trek: Star Charts, on page 47, the Argus Array was located in the Alpha Quadrant.
