The Arawath colony was a Cardassian settlement. Enabran Tain moved there after his retirement from the Obsidian Order.
In 2370, Doctor Julian Bashir sought out Tain at the Arawath colony for help in removing Garak's malfunctioning cranial implant. (DS9: "The Wire")
According to the Star Trek: Star Charts, on page 46, Arawath colony was named after the Arawath system. This system's primary was a Class M star. Magnitude of this star was +7, which was 1/10 as bright as Sol. The system was located in the Alpha Quadrant.
