Sub-atomic particles reasonably rare in normal space. Chroniton fields were emitted by Geordi La Forge and Ensign Ro Laren when they passed through solid objects after being phased by a Romulan Interphase generator in 2368. Data used an anyon emitter to erradicate these fields and a flood of anyons caused the phasing of these two crew members to be reversed. (TNG : The Next Phase).
