Anthony Caruso (7 April 19164 April 2003; age 86) was the actor who portrayed the Iotian boss Bela Okmyx in the Star Trek episode "A Piece of the Action".

Caruso appeared in numerous feature films, most notably the 1940 crime drama Johnny Apollo and the 1950 film-noir The Asphalt Jungle, both co-starring Marc Lawrence. He also appeared in several films starring his friend Alan Ladd, most notably 1946's The Blue Dahlia. Other film credits include My Favorite Brunette (1947, with John Hoyt), Blackbeard, the Pirate (1952, with Keith Andes and Torin Thatcher), Where Love Has Gone (1964, with DeForest Kelley and Whit Bissell), and Mean Johnny Barrows (1976, with Robert Phillips and Fred Williamson). Caruso also co-starred in the 1954 western Cattle Queen of Montana with Star Trek stuntman Tom Steele as well as future United States President Ronald Reagan. That film was referenced in 1985's Back to The Future (starring Ivy Bethune, Christopher Lloyd, and Sachi Parker). Caruso had a featured role as Mexican criminal Tiburcio Vasquez who had the Vasquez Rocks named in his honor.

He also made guest appearances on many television programs, including Fireside Theatre (with Peter Brocco and George D. Wallace), The Unexpected (with Kenneth Tobey), The Untouchables (with Jason Wingreen and Nehemiah Persoff), The Addams Family (with Ted Cassidy and Felix Silla), The Time Tunnel (with James Darren, Whit Bissell, Lee Meriwether, Peter Brocco, and Lawrence Montaigne), The Wild Wild West (with Michael Dunn, Paul Fix, Robert Ellenstein, Susan Oliver, Marj Dusay, and Robert Herron), Mission: Impossible (with Leonard Nimoy and Robert Mandan), and Fantasy Island (with Ricardo Montalban).
