The Amsterdam News was a Negro publication in the United States of America during the 20th century.

Cassie suggested that Benny Russell work for the News or another such Negro publication when Galaxy rejected his work about a space station captained by a black man. However, Russell refused and continued to write even though his stories would likely never be published. (DS9: "Far Beyond the Stars")
