Aluura was a dabo girl who began working at Quark's in 2374.

Quark was very pleased with her work performance since she was nice to everyone, but he wanted her to be "nicer" to him, and gave her the book Oo-mox for Fun and Profit. He later withdrew the request, although Aluura was actually interested after reading the book. While doing so, he gave her a raise of two slips of gold-pressed latinum per week. (DS9: "Profit and Lace")

The script for "Profit and Lace" describes Aluura as "a beautiful, Amazonian, young dabo girl"'. (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Companion - A Series Guide and Script Library, [1]

The character also appears in the Star Trek: Typhon Pact novels Plagues of Night and Raise the Dawn.
