Alpha Eridani II was the second planet of the Alpha Eridani system.

In 2156, the Redjac entity was responsible for ten women being knifed to death in the city of Heliopolis on this planet. (TOS: "Wolf in the Fold")

BackgroundEdit

The pronunciation of this planet sounds suspiciously like "Alpha Aradoni II", which is also supported by the closed captioning for the episode. However, because Alpha Eridani is a real star and Alpha Aradoni is not, the spelling of the latter is most likely incorrect. Unfortunately, neither the Star Trek Concordance nor the Star Trek Encyclopedia refer to either. The former does refer, however (as does StarTrek.com) to "Alpha Proxima II", which may have actually been the name of the planet prior to a last minute script or dialogue change. The spelling of "Alpha Eridani II" can be found in the Redjac entry at the aforementioned StarTrek.com and in the Star Trek Encyclopedia, neither of which make any reference whatsoever to Alpha Proxima II.
