Alice Sophia Eve (born 6 February 1982; age 42) is an actress who is playing a lead role in the Star Trek Into Darkness. She is playing Carol Marcus.[1] Her character is a Lieutenant science division Starfleet officer serving aboard the Enterprise although Bibi Besch's rendition of the character was only a civilian scientist in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.

Eve, who was born in London, England, made her feature film debut in the 2004 UK drama Stage Beauty. She appeared in the 2004 television movie Hawking, which starred Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Hawking. She subsequently co-starred with him in the 2006 comedy Starter for 10 and is reuniting with him in the Star Trek sequel. Also in 2006, she appeared in crime comedy Big Nothing with Simon Pegg, with whom she will also reunite on the Star Trek sequel. Her first US-made film was the 2009 drama Crossing Over, which also starred Ashley Judd.

More recently, Eve had the female lead in the 2010 comedy She's Out of My League. That same year, she was seen in the role of Erin in the comedy sequel Sex and the City 2, which also featured Kim Cattrall and Willie Garson. She has since been seen in the recurring role of Sophia on the HBO series Entourage (2011), working with such performers as Melinda Clarke, Alan Dale and Malcolm McDowell.

Eve's further film credits include the the Edgar Allen Poe thriller The Raven (2012), the thriller ATM (2012), the drama Decoding Annie Parker (2012, with Bob Gunton and Spencer Garrett), and the science fiction/comedy sequel Men in Black 3 (2012, with Keone Young and Marti Matulis).
