Alice Battisti was a Human woman who attended Starfleet Academy in the 2360s. While there, Cadet Tom Paris liked her, but she would not give him the time of day.
Paris later named a shuttle Alice after her. (VOY: "Alice")
Background
The image that the ship used may have been of Alice Battisti. However, the ship acquired its voice from a modulation of Paris's voice and may have done the same with its image. Furthermore, the same actress played the ship when it presented itself as a member of Abaddon's species.
