Alben was captain of the Nasari ship Nerada in 2373.

His ship became engaged in a battle with Voyager when it approached Taresia. He would later attack the Taresian ships who were pursuing Voyager, after Harry Kim was rescued from the planet, where its all-female species wished to extract his DNA to use to conceive children. (VOY: "Favorite Son")

Alben was played by Christopher Carroll.
