Alan Scarfe (born 8 June 1946; age 65) is a British actor who played Admiral Mendak in the Star Trek: The Next Generation fourth season episode "Data's Day" in 1990. Later, he appeared as Tokath in the sixth season episode "Birthright, Part II" and as Augris in the Star Trek: Voyager second season episode "Resistance". Scarfe is married to actress Barbara March who played Lursa in Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek Generations.
Scarfe is probably best known for starring roles on the television series Seven Days and the miniseries Legend of Earthsea. He also had a memorable guest appearance in the seaQuest DSV episode "Games" alongside Trek alumni Stephanie Beacham and Marco Sanchez. His character, Dr. Rubin Zellar, was eventually mass-produced as an action figure for the seaQuest DSV line by Playmates Toys.
He is a former Associate Director of the Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Ontario, Canada and the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool.
