Abdul Abulbul Amir is a folk song from Earth written in 1877 by Irish songwriter William Percy French.

In 2367, on Terlina III, Lore sang the first verse of the song after successfully impersonating Data in order to trick Noonien Soong into installing an emotion chip in him and commented "I've always loved that ditty, but I could never quite get the cadence right." Lore later sang additional lines from the song when beaming away from the planet. (TNG: "Brothers")

Lyrics

The sons of the Prophet were valiant and bold
And quite unaccustomed to fear
But of all the most reckless, or so I am told,
Was Abdul Abulbul Amir.
There were brave men aplenty all well known to fame
Who served in the ranks of the Czar...
