- Lieutenant Joe Carey is killed while on an away mission to retrieve the Friendship 1 probe, which had contaminated the planet Uxal in the Delta Quadrant. (VOY: "Friendship One")
- Neelix departs the USS Voyager to live with a group of Talaxians living in an asteroid field; he becomes the permanent Federation ambassador in the Delta Quadrant. (VOY: "Homestead")
- Lieutenant Ayala transfers from the operations division to the command division aboard the USS Voyager. (VOY: "Renaissance Man")
- Captain Kathryn Janeway is captured by the Hierarchy; Voyager's EMH has to masquerade as the captain in order to save her and protect the crew. (VOY: "Renaissance Man")

Notes
- Although we can infer that the Voyager episode "Homestead" took part in 2378, on the 315th anniversary of First Contact, it isn't clear how many of the previous episodes may also have taken place in the same year. We can also infer that the episodes "Friendship One", "Author, Author" and "Natural Law" also take place in this year, as in in "Friendship One", Tom Paris tells Brin that B'Elanna Torres is going to give birth to Miral in only a couple of months, which she does sometime after April 2378.
- Janeway's promotion is speculation based on her rank in Nemesis, which took place in mid-2379.
