Events
The founding ceremony of the Federation, in San Francisco, Earth in 2161.
- The United Federation of Planets is founded (treaties signed and ratified) in San Francisco on Earth by the Humans, Vulcans, Andorians and Tellarites. (TNG: "The Outcast"; ENT: "Zero Hour", "These Are the Voyages..."; VOY: "Homestead")
- Charles Tucker III dies. (ENT: "These Are the Voyages...")
- Earth Starfleet merges with Earth Military Assault Command Operations and the Andorian Imperial Guard, as well as Vulcan and Tellarite military forces, to become the new Federation Starfleet.
- Starfleet Academy is established in San Francisco.
- Enterprise (NX-01) is retired from service. (ENT: "These Are the Voyages...")
Notes
- According to the Picard family album, the Earth-Romulan War ended in this year, which would also imply, that the Romulan Neutral Zone was formed in this year, too.
