- NX program: The Warp Five Complex is officially opened by Zefram Cochrane (ENT: "Broken Bow").
- Zefram Cochrane leaves Alpha Centauri colony with an unknown destination. He is later presumed dead. (TOS: "Metamorphosis")
- Cochrane is discovered 150 years later by the USS Enterprise on an asteroid in the Gamma Canaris system, where a cloud-like entity has kept him alive. Enterprise commander James T. Kirk promises to keep Cochrane's existence a secret.
- The Earth ship SS Tomobiki is launched (TNG: "Up the Long Ladder").
- The first of a series of Earth ships mysteriously disappears in an uncharted sector of space. Over the next 150 years the Federation, Klingon and Romulan Empires which continue to experience disappearances, on a frequency of precisely every 27.346 star-years. (TAS: "The Lorelei Signal")
- Although Kirk states in his log that ships have been disappearing in the region "for 150 years", the year 2119 does not fit into the calculation. According to Spock's figure of "precisely every 27.346 star-years", the dates which the disappearances would have occurred in roughly: 2105, 2132, 2159, 2187, 2214, 2241 and finally in 2269.
