As cameras roll on TOS: "The Alternative Factor", actor John Drew Barrymore, who had been contracted to appear as Lazarus, fails to show up for work, forcing a production shutdown. The role is quickly re-cast, with the part going to actor Robert Brown. Star Trek production staff will eventually file a formal complaint against Barrymore with the Screen Actor's Guild, resulting in a suspension of Barrymore's SAG membership for 6 months in 1967. Barrymore is unable to work as actor for that time.
